One last climb, both in and out, and then good-bye crib. (I guess I have to admit that Finn really isn't a baby anymore.) Rather than continue to let him enjoy his crib as a jungle-gym and risk possible injury, it is time for a new bed!
Hello "little boy bed." And now the time for much patience. Finn learned to stay in his cot at Margie's house, yet he is enjoying the new found freedom of his easy-in-and-out bed. After tucking him in for a nap, I hear his little feet on the floor two minutes later, scampering across his room to sit in the chair. Later, the doorknob rattles and his little face peaks out, probably wondering if the escape route is clear. Jason or I return to his room a handful of times to restate the, "stay in your bed" rule and eventually little boy falls asleep.
