We just took a long weekend trip to Pennsylvania. Wylie's first airplane ride! Finn and Wylie were such good travelers and troopers overall, considering it was a jam-packed trip. All the preparing Jason and I had done for possible meltdowns and stressful travel was for naught. We spent two days in Downingtown for the 5K for Aidan J. On Father's Day we saw Jamie and Dena's new house, spent some time with Helen, then spent the afternoon with Jim and Linda at Linda's farm. Monday we enjoyed a full day at Dutch Wonderland!

Soccer Class
Soccer class was a bit overwhelming, for both the medium boy and the parents. Dozens of children and too many loitering parents crowding a soccer field hoping for a little fun and a few soccer skills. In Finn's mind, the drills were all terribly unnecessary as, "I already know how to play soccer." He wanted to play a "real game." Finally, at the end of class, the red shirts on one side of the field, the blue shirts on the other. The coach blows the whistle and they run towards each other, the ball ping-ponging around somewhere in between. Running and smiling, Finn was lovin' it.

New, new bike
The Easter Bunny does not always make the best choices. The Lightning McQueen bike was falling apart from the first ride around the block on Easter Sunday. Within a few days, Finn was carrying a wrench in the pouch on the front of the bike. So, the McQueen bike went back to Target, the Easter Bunny's store of choice and we headed to the Schwinn store on North Avenue. Much better! Finn returned to the sidewalks on his fabulous new blue Schwinn!
Swimming Lessons
Can a person have a gene for buoyancy, inherited from his mother and grandfather? Finn is a fish, as comfortable in the water as if he were born there. No fear--jumping, diving, staying under water. Pool, ocean, lake, or bathtub. So, swimming lessons were successful. While waiting om the wall for his next turn with the teacher, he preferred to hang out under water, but the life guards were happier when he stayed above.
