Finn is loving soccer. He loves running after the ball, finding his way into the center of the pack, and hopefully making contact with the ball, sending it across the field. Doesn't matter which way the ball goes. And, if it goes out of bounds, even better, someone gets to throw it back in!
I don't think it occurs to Finn just yet that the ball is supposed to go in a certain direction, even though when I ask him, he knows which goal he's supposed to be aiming for. All the more fun that way.
He seems vaguely interested in winning the game, but has his own optimistic view of the final score. In his mind his team always wins. I laugh as I hear Finn's interpretation of the number of goals each team scored and then Zach's accurate score report.
He just looks so happy while out on the field. He is in constant motion, surrounded by other boys in motion. I love that he can enjoy the game without worry about the score, for now anyway.
